I was born into a small farming community in Jerome, Idaho. My dad was in the military, which gave us the opportunity to live all over the United States, the South Pacific, and Europe. It was a wonderful educational experience growing up.
We initially lived in a tiny 8 x 36 trailer the first few years of my life. The funny thing is, we had no idea we were poor. As children, we thought we were living the life. We had everything we needed, love, a roof over our head, each other and we had fun.
Life has certainly changed since then. For twenty-eight years I was a successful attorney practicing in the area of bankruptcy law in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a practicing attorney, I have enjoyed the interaction with my clients and with assisting them in getting their financial life in control. Success or not, after twenty-eight years I needed a change. The change included a new career in a new town in a new state.
As a solo practicing attorney, I was pretty much chained to my desk and to a weekly court calendar that limited my free time and the ability to vacation with my wife and family. Additionally, living in Utah meant that half of the year was more like winter, cold and often snowing. Both my wife and I craved warm weather. We often visited Phoenix, Arizona to visit family. We would often look at homes and talk about moving to the Phoenix area. In December 2020, in the midst of the Covid19 pandemic, we put our home in Utah on the market and by February, 2021, we were on our way to our new home in Buckeye, Arizona. As we wind down the bankruptcy practice, my wife and I have returned to school and have obtained our real estate license. We are now both licensed real estate agents in Arizona with West USA Realty.
In law school, I had taken several courses in real estate law and the real estate school was a great refresher. We have really enjoyed assisting individuals and families in both selling and acquiring their homes. There is a tremendous satisfaction in assisting others in the stressful process of relocating either next door or across country. The change for us has been fabulous.
I never imagined I would be able to really love my work.
BUT IT TOOK A DECISION . . . one that we did together to achieve our goals. My wife and I are a team and we will personally be here to assist you in your real estate goals, whether it is selling a home, purchasing a home or investing in income producing property.
We invite you to reach out and schedule a chat with us.

My dad was a general building contractor and so I grew up looking at homes, looking at building plans and dreaming of the perfect home. I have a love for real estate that appears to be in my blood.
I have always enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially with gardening and making my home beautiful with colorful flowers, plants and trees.
My husband and I owned a successful lawfirm in Salt Lake City, Utah in which we practiced bankruptcy law. He was the attorney and I was the office manager/paralegal. It was stressful work, but very rewarding as we assisted those overwhelmed with financial issues get back their lives. After several years, we looked at making a change. We have visited Phoenix, Arizona for several years and really fell in love with Arizona.
We determined we would follow my passion this time and decided to begin a career in real estate. We sold our business, our home in Utah and made the move to Arizona. We quickly found a home in Buckeye, Arizona and both went back to school. It is exciting to be embarking on a whole new adventure. We are both now licensed agents with West USA Realty. We are a team, Sun Warriors, and would love to assist you through the complicated process to find a home, sell a home or find an investment property.
